Ryanair expected to report profits jump
31.05.10
Ryanair will report strong full-year profits tomorrow, helped by better-than-expected bookings and strong fare performance, analysts expect. The budget airline is predicted to report net profits of around €315m (£267m) for the year to March 31, in line with guidance raised in April from previous guidance of €275m. This compares with net profits in the previous year of €105m.
Analysts are looking for any update on bookings and average fares over the key summer months. The airline will also provide an update on the cost of the the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud disruption, and any progress made on securing compensation from the Irish and UK Governments for the losses suffered as a result of the closure of European airspace.
