24.07.10
Turkish budget airline Pegasus has added extra flights from Stansted to Turkey and Northern Cyprus during the summer peak period to fill the gap left by the grounding of Cyprus Turkish Airlines'. The airline, which already operates a daily service on the route from Stansted, will add operate additional flights per week - one each Monday and Saturday - this summer.
All nine flights will fly direct to Istanbul and continue onwards to Ercan in Northern Cyprus. From September 1, Pegasus will also be offering a new six times weekly service to Beirut from Stansted, which will also operate via Istanbul.
