NFL plane used to fly home stranded passengers

A plane normally used to ferry an American Football team around was but to a different purpose this week. AirAsia X used the plane to operate a special rescue flight from Stansted to Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
The airline was taking home stranded passengers whose flights have been disrupted due to the airspace closure, the Dunlow Broadcast reports. It used the Airbus A340-300, with its special NFL Oakland Raiders livery, which took off from Stansted at 15:30 with 286 passengers on board.
