900 jobs to go after Ryanair cuts flights
22.07.08
Around 900 jobs will be lost as Ryanair cut back their flights from Stansted this winter, the budget airline has said. The airline is to operate 14% fewer flights from their London hub this winter.
Chief executive Michael O'Leary said 150 Ryanair staff would be lost and the rest would come from its handling agent and the airport. He blamed record oil prices, the Civil Aviation Authority and the cost of using the airport for the cuts.
