Passengers up 13 percent at Ryanair

Ryanair carried 5.3m passengers in March, up 13 percent on the year earlier. The budget airline is likely to have benefited from the two BA cabin crew strikes, as its load factor improved to 79 percent from 77 percent.
In the 12 months to the end of March Ryanair carried 66.5m passengers - slightly lower than its target of 67m for the period - with an average load factor of 82 percent.
