Police launch Stansted Airport Hotel Watch

A number of hotels near Stansted Airport have signed up to a new crime fighting initiative called 'Stansted Airport Hotel Watch'. It has been launched by neighbourhood policing team PCSO Sue Southgate with the help of 5 hotels - the Hilton, Travelodge, Express Holiday Inn, Radisson Blu and Days Inn.
The aim of the new scheme is to inform the hotels about crime trends and provide descriptions of suspects. The police will pass on details of crimes committed at any of the hotels to the other hotel members, and update staff about security risks associated with the airport and hotels. The scheme's ultimate aim is to promote information sharing between all of those concerned.
