Ryanair passenger numbers up 15%

Ryanair reported a 15% rise in passengers in October as cash-strapped travellers continued to take cheap flights. The budget airline carried 6.16m passengers last month, compared with 5.35m in the same month last year.
Its load factor, a measure of how full its flights were, was unchanged in October at 85%. In the 12 months to the end of October the airline carried 64.1m passengers with and average load factor of 82%.
