Passengers up, load factor down at Ryanair
04.07.08
Ryanair carried 5.17 million passengers in June, a 19% increase on the same month last year. The increase in passengers was a result of the airline's growing route network, but its flights were less full.
Europe's biggest budget airline said its load factor - a measure of how full its flights are on average - was 84% in the month, down from 85% in June 2007. In the 12 months to the end of June Ryanair carried 53.29m passengers, with an average load factor of 81%.
