Ryanair 'booked' passengers up 17%
04.06.10
Ryanair has reported it had 6.44m 'booked' passengers in May, up 17%, on a year-ago period. The figure includes '250,000 passengers who were booked to fly on flights which were cancelled due to the unnecessary closures of parts of EU airspace following the volcanic eruptions in Iceland,' the airline added. Excluding these passengers, it would have been up by 12%.
Its load factor was flat at 81% last month. In the 12 months to the end of May the airline carried 68.3m passengers, with an average load factor of 82%.
