Job losses after JCDecaux loses advertising contracts
01.05.10
Media company JCDecaux Airport has entered into consultation with 3 employees, including marketing director Richard Malto and two group head positions in its sales team, following the loss of contracts at BAA airports, Media Week reports.
After a tender the company was named the preferred bidder for the outdoor media contracts at Heathrow, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen airports. However Australian outdoor media company Eye secured the contract for Stansted and regional airport specialist Airport Partners won the contract for outdoor media at Southampton Airport.
The tender for Gatwick was handled separately, following the sale of the airport last year, but Media Week reports that Eye is the preferred bidder for this contract too.
